CrossPointe
The cross of Christ is
where God's wrath and mercy meet. Through Christ's atoning sacrifice on the
cross the wrath of God was satisfied, enabling those who come to Christ alone
through faith alone to receive the mercy of God through the new birth. God
extended His grace to us through the cross. That grace is what we want to
"Pointe" to when telling others about the Gospel and encouraging one
another in our daily walk with Christ. As believers who have come to Christ we
want to point the lost world to the hope of Christ. As believers who have come
to Christ we want to point one another to the cross in order to live obedient
and holy lives. Our primary method of doing this is through the faithful and
accurate preaching and teaching of the Word of God.
Community
summarizes both the desire for genuine fellowship within our church
family and the practice of welcoming those neighbors around us. Our goal is to
build one another up to function as one body in Christ. As "the light of
the world" we desire to bring the light of the Gospel of Christ to our
fellow family members and to show where real peace is for those in chaos,
forgiveness for the guilty, and a place of hope for the hopeless.
Church
however, is
paramount because of its absolute uniqueness. While "CrossPointe" and
"Community" were our choice in defining who we are,
"Church" was mandated by God — as revealed in His Word. It is His
designation for the assembly of people called by His name. As such, our course
has been charted by God; our destiny has been planned by God; our members have
been chosen by God; our purposes have been defined by God.
We trust you'll discover
God's grace among us and that we glorify His Name.
